Reunion Days Mystic Magic

September 28th, 2007: A "Lion" catches our Wichita party in his "Toucan" forepaw.
Behold the Spirit: Compare our delighted lion with the MGM Lion from Forbidden Planet and with the Forbidden Planet Lion-Monster. This weather vision seems to mirror my insertion of the MGM Lion into the party registration file around Reed Lyons, who was not an obvious fit to the 1967 Tower Yearbook or our 1967 Class List. Note that the Lion seems to carry a beaver on his back watching a laptop. Also note that the Toucan may have a big green beak. [Toucan in Profile.] "Try to understand, try to understand, try, try, try to understand... He's the Magic Man." The "sons of the divine wind" effect is also manifested by presidential candidates, Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones when on tour in the USA, Billy Graham, and other folks in the news. Today pictures will be taken for The Wichita Eagle. Reed Lyons, incidentally, turned out to be an Einstein look-alike and a mechanical engineer who sat down next to me at the Saturday Reunion dinner, making a Green & Einstein picture for errant camera men. He was a lot of fun to chat with, as was Eddie Raymond, a Wichita school administrator, who sat on the other side of me. I could inform Eddie that Raymond invented polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in 1959.

Sept.29: Dinosaur birdie grads in a Fedora with Froggy Gonads over Wichita, Kansas.
- It's the Spirit of God -
Music: Magical Mystery Tour

The good birds trudging in a Top Hat after the Tour of North High near 2:00 PM.
We started out with a stirling memorial performance with subsequent rock-and-roll background music by Craig Twister Steward, who could later compete with North High cheerleeders for cartwheeling excellence, living up to his "Twister" nickname. Socialization at Minisa Park included free Cola, cookies, and chips that were left over from the night before and great background music from Craig, who did a wonderful job with his one-man band performance on guitar and harmonica. The point of our tale as it developed is that we trudged all over North High, up into the Tower on a spiral staircase, into the gymn, past Butch the Buffalo #2, into the Kiva with memorial stone benches and marked inlay masonry, through the new dining area, finally stopping to have our picture taken at the Auditorium Entrance on the south side of the Building. Music: Wondering Where the Lions Are.

By 3:15 PM CST, you see we're getting ready for a reunion dinner dance under the birdie,
caricatured here as a bit of a batton-passing exercise over Wichita, Kansas.

Now instead of manifesting ourselves as mindless primitives,
we seem to be equipped with educated specimen good bird top hats.
Music: Lost in Love by Chad and Jeremy | Rhiannon
